Though the economy is harsh on everyone, people still have the right to laugh --even if they work in a big corporate office. When considering entertainment for a corporate holiday party, most will think about hiring a comedian to lift up the spirits around the office.

One of the most profitable venues is one that provides some of the highest class, upscale clientele. Corporate holiday parties are a huge bank roll: drunken office jockeys with mid-sized standards and low expectations. Your only job is to get these overworked suits to laugh, and that's something anyone with at least a half decent sense of humour can accomplish. Trust, these company workers are subjected to the most droll and mundane tasks on the face of the planet; they need a little spice in their lives.

Now, because these are, in fact, high powered, nicely compensated office boys, when they throw corporate holiday parties, they're ready to let loose --in attitude and in pocket money. However much they pay, you've got to provide them with at least half that in entertainment. Any professional comic will know how to give even this high-brow crowd their money's worth.

There are countless rewards at your disposal when you book a corporate holiday party. Though the economy says otherwise, most corporations have the bank to shell out as much money as they desire for the entertainment they crave. You'll also have the security of a clean, nicely accommodated venue with all the amenities a comic needs. When playing the game of life, the collar can get a little tight. Fortunately for you, when working a corporate holiday party you'll have the audience eating out of the palm of your hand with the mere fact that you're there to keep them in the holiday spirit.

Corporate workers are just as human as anyone else --no matter what your impressions. You've got to be able to play off their, no doubt, horrendous state of inebriation and feed into the enormity of their egos. You don't need a lesson on how to make the rabble rally behind you, but it would be in your best interest to remember that your audience is as cut-throat as any competitive sport. The better you are at observation, the better your chances of getting a nice little bonus at the end of the evening.
